Grilled Cheese Ham and Egg Sandwich
2 slices of whole grain bread
1 egg cooked over easy
2 ounces sliced black forest ham
1 slice of Swiss or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Heat a nonstick skillet. Spread half of the butter on one side of the first slice of bread.
- When the pan is heated, put in the bread (butter side down) Arrange cheese and ham on top of the bread. Spread the remaining butter in the second slice of bread. Start of the second slice of bread with ham (butter side up). Simmer for 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Flip the bread with a spatula to cook the other side of the bread. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove bread from pan and place on a plate. Remove the second slice of bread and arrange the egg on top of the ham. Place the second slice of bread in the egg.
